(Chapter I / Verse 1 - Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras)

True yoga begins when we find stability and ease in each asana, flowing naturally with the breath and movement between them.
By simply sitting in a comfortable and stable position and engaging in mindful, controlled breathing sequences, pranayama gently guides us towards greater mastery of the mind and a deep sense of balance within the body. Through breath control, we start to direct the flow of prana—our vital life force—and harness it to restore harmony. Breath becomes a portable, ever-present tool, a guide that nurtures and strengthens us on and off the mat.

Our body is a sacred temple, and ashtanga yoga offers a transformative sequence of postures to strengthen and fortify it.
This dynamic practice emphasises the breath as an essential element of both progress and well-being. With breath and movement woven together through each vinyasa, we enter a meditative flow. Despite its structured series and specific asanas, ashtanga yoga draws us in with its inner harmony. Practised in the Mysore style, each student receives personal attention and guidance, making this a deeply personal and evolving journey.

The mind is like a vast, restless ocean, filled with thoughts, emotions, and memories. Meditation is a gentle vessel that carries us towards stillness.
By simply sitting comfortably and allowing ourselves to become present, we invite calm and release the layers of stress that weigh us down. Whether gently resting our attention on the breath or softly gazing at a candle’s flame, or simply sitting in stillness and breathing naturally, we gradually cultivate mindfulness and inner peace.

Yoga nidra is a profound practice of relaxation, guiding us to release tension from body, mind, and spirit. Resting in shavasana, we enter a state between wakefulness and sleep, where deep awareness and tranquillity reside.
With guided attention, we explore and gently dissolve physical and emotional blockages, inviting profound serenity into every part of our being.

At Babaroga Yoga, Swedish hand manipulation is a nurturing, holistic approach designed to release emotional blockages and physical stress. Through soft, rhythmic techniques—effleurage, petrissage, tapotement, and gentle shaking—we stimulate circulation, ease muscular tension, and bring harmony to the entire body. Rather than applying force, this therapy focuses on intuitive touch, complemented by the use of therapeutic essential oils. As warmth spreads through the body and breath reaches every cell, we invite deep relaxation and renewal.

Passive stretching techniques offer a gentle way to unwind, release tension, and restore balance in the muscles and connective tissue. By holding each stretch for 15–30 seconds, we enhance flexibility, expand range of motion, and nurture a greater sense of physical and mental well-being.
We offer a variety of packages, tailored to your needs—whether as individual sessions or carefully curated combinations.
We also offer bespoke packages designed entirely around your preferences.

Hi, I’m Vidda Mer — your personal holistic guide on the path to well-being.
My given name is David Rajko. I am a civil engineer by profession and a seeker by spirit, born and raised in the beautiful coastal town of Pula, in the Istrian region of Croatia. With years of expertise in design, construction, and project management, I followed a structured path, but deep down I felt that something was missing.
My journey towards self-discovery began 15 years ago when I first stepped into a yoga class. In the early days, I focused only on replicating the physical postures, unaware that yoga was much more than movement. What drew me in was the serenity and grounded presence I saw in experienced practitioners — a calmness that transcended daily life and responsibilities. Inspired, I began searching for answers.
That curiosity led me to ayurveda. During an ayurvedic course in Poreč, a yogi from India helped me understand my own constitution (Pitta Dosha) and guided me through tailored nutrition and practice. The positive changes I felt ignited my passion for exploring holistic healing in greater depth.
Over the years, I immersed myself in practices such as yoga nidra, pranayama, sound baths, mantra chanting, and extensive self-study. This exploration deepened my understanding of yoga as union — a harmony of body, mind, and spirit.
Yoga is me, and I am in union with myself, and I could either empower myself or continue down the path I was going.
And I chose me.
The luck struck me while I was practicing Mysore-style ashtanga yoga with awareness and breath through each asana at Mayurveda Yoga Center (dear Martina Malić, a huge namaste from my heart!). I’ve been given an opportunity to expand my knowledge and therefore I joined an open course for Yoga Teachers TT200 held by Pink Elephant Yoga Institute, under the guidance of Marco and Petra Bianco (finished in September 2025). I truly enjoyed being in their calming presence, absorbing profound wisdom and abundant knowledge during my education, and a huge namaste to both of you. Soon after I started Yoga Teacher Training: I joined the open course for Classical (Swedish) Hand Manipulation Techniques TT300 (finished in July 2025) at Diopter Pula, learning anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic touch under experts Dr. Manuela Perković and Danijela Panić.
Beyond certifications, I’ve explored essential oils, ayurvedic healing, hot stone therapy, sound therapy, natural cycles, natural healing (and Babaroga’s 😊). All these experiences revealed my true purpose: to serve as a holistic healer — to guide others toward self-discovery, balance, and well-being.
